They demand sorry from the government. PPP Nafisa Shah says the women MNAs are united and demand PM Khan takes back his remarks and say sorry.
LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News-25th April 2019) PPP parliamentarians have condemned the remarks of Prime Minister Imran Khan about its chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari.
PPP Information Secretary Nafisa Shah said the parliamentarians should not take it as a simple issue which is related to women.
PM Imran Khan, while addressing a public gathering in Wana, South Waziristan, had referred to Bilawal as a sahiba ─ an urdu language word used to address for a lady.
Unlike Bilawal sahiba, said Khan, he did not come into politics through chit but did a hard work for a long time for it.
Women MNAs gathered in front of National Assembly Speak Asad Qaiser’s dice when the assembly session stated on Thursday. They started chanting slogans against PM Khan and demanded an apology from the government over his ‘misogynistic’ remarks.
Nafisa Shah condemned the misogynistic remarks made by the prime minister and said if Khan did not take his words back, he would not be her prime minister.
She said female MNAs had decided that they would not play politics when it comes to women's issues and called on them to support each other in such matters.
