Women Playing Active Role In Socio Economic Development: Dr Ambreen

The Executive Director BEDARI, Dr Ambreen Ajaib said that women have all fundamental rights and it was the obligation of all citizens and organizations to respect and honour women rights.
RAWALPINDI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2018 ) :The Executive Director BEDARI, Dr Ambreen Ajaib said that women have all fundamental rights and it was the obligation of all citizens and organizations to respect and honour women rights.
Speaking at a seminar held here at Govt. Post Graduate College for Boys, Asghar Mall, on Tuesday. The Executive Director said that women were contributing in all fields and playing their role in socio economic development of the country.
Ambreen Ajaib highlighted various issues confronted by women and said that it was imperative for creating awareness among the masses to abide by all rules and regulations relating to women protection rights.
She also stressed for behavioural change to encourage women to become active part of society.
Divisional Director Gender Information system and Coordinator Punjab Commission on the status of Women, Qasier Mehmud Rana, briefed about salient features of women protection laws and said that now nobody can misuse his official position against women and a number of cases were being registered against women harassment.
Principal, Govt. Post Graduate College for Boys, Khushi Muhammad Nasir appreciated the role of public and private sector organizations for gender equality and said that educational awareness sessions especially in educational institutions would enable students to make themselves confident and raise their voices against any discrimination.
Other speakers also expressed their views on the occasion.
