Work Begins On Gwadar International Airport

Work on the project's design and feasibility of the new international airport has already been completed.
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 26th March, 2019) The work on Gwadar airport has begun.
The Civil Aviation Authority has already identified the 3,000 acres of land that is located around 26 kilometre northeast of the existing airport.
Prime Minister Imran Khan will perform the ground breaking of the new airport in Gwadar this week.
Work on the project's design and feasibility of the new international airport has already been completed. The airport would be built at a cost of US$230 million, an official from China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) Secretariat said on Monday.
The new airport would possess the international status which will be run under open sky policy.
During the development process of the new airport, the existing airport's capacity would also be enhanced by making it capable of transporting big planes.
With the establishment of new international airport, the Gwadar city would become hub of aviation industry and it would also help elevating the CPEC framework.
The airport would have the capacity to receive world's all types of planes including A380 Boeing to facilitate transportation of international investors and tourists.
