Work On WASA Master Plan-II Begins In Faisalabad

Water and Sanitation Agency (WASA) has started work on its Master Plan Phase-II to provide 50 million gallon potable water to the people.
A spokesman of WASA told APP here on Tuesday that WASA had devised a Master Plan to provide potable water and most modern sewerage facilities to the people of the city.
He said that Faisalabad was the third largest city of Pakistan, where people require 160 million gallon water for drinking purpose.
The WASA completed first phase of its Master Plan and started providing 110 million gallon water to the population of Faisalabad while the remaining 50 million gallon water would be provided after the completion of Master Plan phase-II, he added.
Responding to a question, WASA spokesman said that Master Plan-II would be completed at an estimated cost of Rs 18 billion.
Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) and France government will provide financial assistance for the completion of the project, he added.
