World Honored Abdul Sattar Edhi With Respected Awards

(UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th july, 2016) : Besides the national and international awards, Abdul Sattar Edhi was rewarded with various complimentary degrees. But his life and its aims were above all these worldly rewards as he never wished of acknowledgement.

Pakistan army gave him a shield of honor while Pakistan academy of medical sciences awarded him of service award.He was also given honor in indie where he was bestowed with peace and unity awards.

For his medical services he was given hamdan award for volunteer and for the promotion of humanity, peace and brotherhood he was granted Balzan award by Italy.For laying the foundation of the world's biggest voluntary ambulance service, his name was written in the Guinness book of world records.

Besides all, he was also nominated for the noble prize which he refused to accept by saying that pakistan nation has honored him so much that he does not feel any need for the noble prize.
