'World Kidney Day' Observed

MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Mar, 2023 ) :Children Complex on Thursday observed 'World Kidney Day' by distributing gifts among patients and cutting cakes as a token of love and care for them.

Dean Children Complex, Dr Kashif Chishti along with Dr Waqas Imran, Dr Sohail Arshad, Dr Rana Zulfiqar and Dr Maaz visited Nephrology Department and dialysis unit and distributed gifts among patients.

Later on, a cake-cutting ceremony was also held with the patients.

The day is marked to sensitize the public about renal diseases and precautionary measures to prevent ailments.

Meanwhile, an awareness walk was also organized by the Nephrology Department of Nishtar Medical University which started from NMU Tower and culminated at Hayat Zafar auditorium.

Dr Rana Altaf Ahmad, Dr Ahmed Ijaz Masood, Dr Azam Khan, Dr Arif Mahmood Bhatti, Dr Ghulam Abbas, Nursing Superintendent, Salma and a good number of doctors and paramedics participated in the walk.
