Yemen Reaffirms Commitment To Liberate Areas From Houthi Militia

Yemen has reaffirmed its commitment to continue the liberation of all areas in the country from the grip of Houthi militia.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Yemen has reaffirmed its commitment to continue the liberation of all areas in the country from the grip of Houthi militia.

According to a statement issued by the Yemen Embassy here, the Government of Yemen reiterated a peaceful solution to the issue based on the three references for peace (the GCC initiative, the NDC outcomes and the UNSC Resolution 2216).

Yemen's President Abdorabbo Mansour Hadi called upon the national army and the popular resistance supported by the Arab Coalition to liberate militarily the city and port of Hodeida from the Houthis.

The statement added that after liberation of Hodeida, the Yemen government with the support of Arab coalition would carry out its national duties towards its citizens by alleviating their sufferings and restoring normal life to all districts of Hodeida.
