Youm-e-Istehsal Day To Show Solidarity, Raise Voice For IIOJK People: Sharjeel

KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 5th Aug, 2024) The Sindh Senior Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that Youm e Istehsal was a day to express solidarity with the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK) and raise a voice for justice and self-determination.

He expressed these views on the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal day here on Monday.

He said that the international community should play its role in ensuring the freedom and rights of the Kashmiri people.

Sharjeel said that the international community should not turn a blind eye to the plight of Kashmiris.

He said, "We will continue advocating for the rights and freedom of IIOJK people."

The Senior Minister said that five years ago, by taking away the special status of IIOJK, Indian tried to suppress the voices and aspirations of the Kashmiri people.

"During the last four years, the people of Jammu and Kashmir have faced countless hardships and sufferings at the hands of Indian forces, he said adding that India's actions had created a sense of insecurity in the region."

He said that civilized nations around the world were questioning India's senseless actions.

"India has been involved in human rights violations, arbitrary detentions, restrictions on freedom of expression in IIOJK," he said.

He further said, "A peaceful and just solutiont lies only in the right to self-determination."
