
Youngsters Throng Jashan-i-Azadi Accessories' Stalls To Finalize

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 8th August, 2016) : With only four days left in the commencement of 70th Independence Day' celebrations, youngsters and children are finalizing their preparations by thronging the stalls carrying Jashan-i-Azadi accessories like dresses, bunting, flags, badges, souvenirs and other stuff. The capital is looking green and white with display of colourful stalls of Azadi Accessories in each corner and youngsters and children are showing more enthusiasm toward marking the day as a biggest festival. "This year people are showing more patriotic zeal toward celebrating this important day and the preparations were started before the advent of August", Afshan Syed, a resident of G-9 Markaz said. She said, "My children have bought bunting and flags to decorate the home and our car.
They have also purchased Azadi shirts available at every stall". Abid Raza, a resident of I-8 sector said, "the display of bunch of stalls on the road side area in the main markaz of I-8 sector has become center of attraction for most of the people". He said, "I see huge rush of children and youngsters at these stalls while going back to home in evening which reflect their patriotic spirit and enthusiasm".
Samia Aslam, a young student said, "I and my friends will wear the flag coloured suits on I-Day. We will also visit market for buying other matching accessories like green and white bangles, shoes and pin badges".
She said, I-Day was getting the shape of a festival or gala and people irrespective of their ages participate in its activities vigorously. The public and private departments had planned a number of activities including seminars, discussion programmes, debate and national songs competitions, walks and other events in connection with the I-Day celebrations. Different programmes would be arranged to pay tributes to the national heroes and the leaders of Pakistan Movement who laid their lives for the country. The main offices and homes will be illuminated with lighting bulbs and prayers would be held on the day for the prosperity of the country. Many of the food outlets are offering Azadi deals on discount to attract the food lovers while different boutiques and shops are offering huge variety of Azadi dresses. Azadi toys are another addition to the Azadi day accessories being offered at different stalls and children are taking keen interest in buying these. One of the striking feature of the I-Day preparations is Azadi Train which would start its month-long journey across the country before August 14. The Azadi train, comprising of 17 decorated coaches, will stop at every big station of the country and hold musical shows, cultural dances and other activities.
