Zahir Shah Toru elected member KP Assembly

Zahir Shah Toru of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has been elected MPA from the provincial assembly constituency PK-52 Mardan.

PESHAWAR, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th Jul, 2018 ) :Zahir Shah Toru of Pakistan Tehrik-e-Insaf (PTI) has been elected MPA from the provincial assembly constituency PK-52 Mardan.

He has obtained 26950 votes against runner-up Ali Khan of ANP, who secured 21094 votes, said official results of the general election..

Other candidates from the constituency were included Arsala Khan Hoti (7720 votes) while Aurangzeb Khan Hoti of PPP stood fourth by securing 4791 votes.

Zahir Shah Toru was a student activist affiliated with PPP's student Peoples' Students Federation (PSF). He had quit PPP before the general elections and joined PTI.

The number of total registered voters in the constituency was 147844 including 85381 men and 62463 women voters. The constituency is consists of 9 Union Councils including UCsRoria, Muslimabad, Baricham, Gulbagh, Par Hoti, Sikandari and Bikat Gunj.
