Reportedly, Zardari denied helping his foster brother in returning the country
Karachi (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 7th May, 2018) Former president and Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Ali Zardari has ended his relations with foster brother Owais Tappi.
Owais Tappi telephoned Zardari and asked him to help him in returning to the country as general elections are approaching. But Zardari denied helping his foster brother.
According to a news story published in a local newspaper, Zardari has ended all relations with Tappi. Zardari’s close friend and cousin Haji Ali Hassan will now contest from PS-78, the native constituency of Ghora Bari Thatta.
Sources said that Zardari’s sister Faryal Talpur was also angry at Tappi over some matters.
Sources told the local newspaper that Zardari had removed Tappi from the ministry over Talpur’s reservations. Meanwhile, Tappi is also facing several cases in National Accountability Bureau (NAB).
Tappi had left the country after he was removed from the ministry and NAB and other agencies started taking an action against him.
Since elections are near, Tappi now wants to come back to the country. He telephoned Zardari asking him to help him in his return. Sources said that when Tappi asked for help, Zardari refused straight away and said that he cannot help him in any way.
