KARACHI, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 28th Nov, 2017 ) : Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair has lauded the role of Ulema towards restoration of law and order and fostering the spirit of cohesion, unity, amity and brotherhood.
He was talking to member of the Ulema Mashaikh Council, Pir Azhar Ali Hamdani, who called on him at the Governor House here on Tuesday. The Governor said that like previous years, the government with the cooperation of people and ulema, elaborate arrangements are being ensured for Eid-i-Milad-un-Nabi.
He also pointed out that the government is focusing towards the development works and that development would help in elimination of poverty and unemployment.
Zubair was of the view that the province will benefit the more from the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) project.
He said that with the assistance of the Federal government, development projects worth Rs. 75 billion are being carried out in the metropolis and that this includes Rs. 25 billion Karachi Development Package. Pir Azhar Ali Hamdani praised the keen interest of the federal government towards the development projects in the province.
