36th death anniversary of Hasan Tariq observed

The 36th death anniversary of renowned film director Hassan Tariq was observed on Tuesday.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 24th Apr, 2018 ) :The 36th death anniversary of renowned film director Hassan Tariq was observed on Tuesday. He was born in Amritsar in 1927. He features among the most distinguished film directors of the Pakistani film industry, a private news channel reported.

He directed first feature film in 1959 and till his death in 1982, he made around 40 films which include some of the most remarkable films of Pakistan like Neend, Banjarin, Shikwa, Kaneez, Dever Bhabhi, Anjuman, Tehzeeb, Umrao Jan Ada, Ek Gunah Aur Sahi and Sangdil. He died on April 24, 1982 in Lahore.
