Viewers can be termed as the main protagonist of these awards holding key due to their precious voting right for the popular award categories. No other awards are judged on the basis of popular choice. Another category of awards is jury-based for backstage creative people related to sound track, editing, and choreography, etc.

The objective of this award is to acknowledge the contribution of media for promoting the soft image of Pakistan through Pakistani film, drama, fashion, radio and theatre across the globe. The awards are given in the categories of Film, TV, News, Drama, Fashion, Music, morning shows, Radio and Theatre. All TV channels are invited to send their nominations in different categories. A panel of judges is constituted and the winner of each category is announced on the basis of public voting for popular awards and recommendations of the honourable jury for non-popular or backstage creative awards.
