Bollywood’s Swara Bhaskar gets into a Twitter brawl with Pakistani anchor

In a video that had gone viral on social media, Samaa TV anchor Kiran Naz had heavily criticised Modi

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 24th February, 2019) Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar has come out to challenge Pakistani anchor Kiran Naz for calling out Indian aggression against Pakistan.

Taking to Twitter, Swara called Kiran Naz as Arnab Gowsami’s sister, an Indian journalist known for his verbosity, and asked what’s her problem with tea-sellers (Modi).

“Arnab ki Pakistani behen!!!!!!! I knew that Indian and Pakistanis were basically the same.. They too have their share of unhinged foaming at the mouth tv news anchors..but aapaa, what is ur problem with chai-wallahs ? 🤣🤣🤣🤣” she wrote.

In a video that had gone viral on social media, Samaa TV anchor Kiran Naz said that there is tension across Pak-India border because of the upcoming elections in India.

These tactics of Modi government have gone in vain and now he does not have any option but to threaten Pakistan, she had said.

However, Kiran said, Modi must be shaking thinking if it does not end up becoming a story like “There was one Modi, there was one Hindustan” (Aik tha Modi, Aik tha Hindustan).

She further said that the Indian aircrafts which were to teach Pakistan a lesson end up crashing.

Further lambasting the Indian government, the Pakistani anchor said, “Modi government has morally degraded as they are banning Pakistani artists, taking down pictures of Pakistani cricketers, and asking Ajmer Sharif pilgrims to leave the country.

She went on to say, “Thank God we don’t have a prime minister like tea-seller Modi. Imran Khan is a visionary leader. He is taking his nation along with him besides teaching a lesson to India.”

“Imran Khan has given our message in a softer tone. We don’t believe in bullets, we believe in dialogue,” the anchor said.

Tensions run high between India and Pakistan following Pulwama attack that resulted in the death of more than 40 Indian soldiers.

The responsibility for the attack was claimed by the militant group Jaish-e-Mohammed. A local youth named Adil Ahmed Dar was identified as the attacker.

Indian media and politicians have since been blaming Pakistan for the attack without any evidence.

Pakistan has, in turn, rejected the allegations of its involvement in the attack and said that this was New Delhi's strategy to divert international attention from human rights violations taking place in the Kashmir region.
