Lahore High Court (LHC) Office has raised objection over supermodel Ayyan Ali petition filed by her against her arrest warrants remarking the accused is not Pakistan therefore, her application cannot be fixed for hearing

LAHORE (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th March, 2019) Lahore High Court (LHC) Office has raised objection over supermodel Ayyan Ali petition filed by her against her arrest warrants remarking the accused is not Pakistan therefore, her application cannot be fixed for hearing.Ayyan Ali through her counsel Aftab Bajwa Advocate had filed petition a day before seeking withdrawal of her arrest warrants issued by the Customs Court.She took plea in her petition that she wanted to appear before trial court to face charges leveled against her.

Therefore, she should be given opportunity to appear before Customs court to prove her innocence.She further said in the petition that transparent trial is basic right of every citizen under article 10-A of the constitution, therefore, the arrest warrants issued by Customs Court should be withdrawn.It is pertinent to mention here that Customs court has issued non- bailable arrest warrants of Ayyan Ali due to her persistent absence from court in Currency smuggling case.
