Mumbai (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 26th March, 2019) At a recently held awards, Alia Bhatt was bestowed with Best Actor (Female) award for her incredible performance as Sehmat in Meghna Gulzar's Raazi.
Apart from Alia, the strong contender for this category wasDeepika Padukone for her role as Rani Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmaavat. However, Deepika, who won at Zee Cine Awards 2019, lost out at 64th Filmfare Awards to Alia.
This did not go well with many of her fans.One of Deepika's fan clubs took to their Instagram page and wrote a plonged note slamming the awards and not even giving her along with Alia, as they did with Ranveer Singh and Ayushmann Khurrana.
The fan club even called out SLB for allegedly chopping Deepika's scenes from the film and making the movie around Khilji played by Ranveer.
However, Deepika left a comment on the fan club's post which instantly won everyone's hearts.She wrote, "To all my Fans, I am sorry I let you all own and promise to work harder than ever before...
#upwards&onwards"Check it out below:Meanwhile, on the work front, Deepika will next be seen in Meghna'sChhapaak, where she plays the role of an acid attack survivor named Malti. The film is based on the life of acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal.Chhapaak will be extensively shot in Delhi and the film went on floors yesterday.The intense film's first look was shared yesterday and it instantly broke the internet.
Starring Vikrant Massey as the male lead, Chhapaak is slated to release on January 10, 2020.
