Farhan Akhtar pays tribute to APS victims with a song  ‘Why Couldn’t It Be Me’

One of the songs in the album ‘Why Couldn’t It Be Me’ is a special tribute to the APS victims.

Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 4th February, 2019) Bollywood actor and director Farhan Akhtar recently revealed that his next music album will be a tribute to the victims of 2014 Army Public school (APS) attack in Peshawar.

In an interview with a local publication, Farhan Akhtar spoke about his music and revealed that his album is inspired by the APS attack.

One of the songs in the album ‘Why Couldn’t It Be Me’ is a special tribute to the APS victims.

“The APS attack was an incident that really shocked the world and I just felt compelled to somehow, be a part of the healing process and help those affected by it,” the actor said.

“Music allows me to share my thoughts and how I feel.

These emotions are universal and I hope people can identify and connect with them," he added.

About his music album ‘Echoes’, he said it is very personal.

“Each song in the album has a very deep meaning for me and is from a certain time of my life… happy times, bad times, times of prospection, grief, separation and mourning. It’s all in there, which is why it’s called Echoes,” Farhan said.

The album has some folk-rock songs composed in a very contemporary style.

The song ‘Why Couldn’t It Be Me’ from his much-awaited debut album Echoes will be released on February 28, 2019.
