Says I am not a PTI guy, I am a Pakistani and so are you
Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 16th July, 2018) As the political landscape in the country keeps heating up with general elections approaching near, celebrities also cannot refrain from indulging into a political debate.
Singer-cum-actor Farhan Saeed has also reacted to the current political divide in the country.
In a tweet on Sunday, Farhan said that we as a nation should agree to disagree.
He said we don’t need to abuse or fight each other for having different political views. The singer urged the people to vote on July 25 and to accept whoever wins.
“We as a nation should agree to disagree! We can have different opinions, different political views. Why would we abuse and fight with each other? Let's vote on 25th of July Pakistan and whoever wins let's accept it with all our heart as any wise nation would do,” he wrote in his tweet.
Farhan, however, received a mixed response to his tweet.
Someone said, “You should stick to your profession learn to act and sing first.
”
Farhan had a good reply to this as he said, “And you should finish this negativity in your life. It'll do wonders for you! :)”
To another follower who said, “But before casting a vote please think once,” Farhan replied, “Not once,Hundred times! But do cast your vote!”
Someone also called him a PTI guy as he recently sang a song for its election campaign and reminded him of how the PTI guys didn't accept the election results in 2013 like wise nations do.
To this, Farhan responded as, “I am not a PTI guy, I am a Pakistani and so are you :)”
In another reply to a comment on election rigging, he said, "We are a young nation, nations go through a lot ! At least we as a nation are more aware now, we will rise inshallah."
