Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 14th January, 2019) Actor Emraan Hashmi on Monday revealed his son Ayaan has been declared cancer free.
Ayaan was diagnosed with a rare case of kidney cancer in 2014 at the age of three.
Sharing pictures with his son on Twitter, Emraan Hashmi said that it has been quite a journey since he was diagnosed with cancer five years ago.
The actor added that hope and belief goes a long way and cancer fighters can win this battle.
"Today, 5 years after his diagnosis Ayaan has been declared cancer free. It has been quite a journey. Thank you for all your prayers and wishes.
love and prayers for all the cancer fighters out there, hope and belief goes a long way. You can WIN this battle!" Emraan wrote on Twitter.
Ayaan, the first child of Emraan and wife Parveen Shahani, was born in 2010 but was diagnosed with first stage cancer at the age of four in early 2014.
The parents were quite shaken and questioned where did they go wrong but took the battle head on.
The actor has also co-written a book with Bilal Siddiqi on his son’s fight against cancer.
The book is titled The Kiss of Life: How A Superhero and My Son Defeated Cancer.
