In A First, Pakistani Movie ‘Parwaaz Hai Junoon’ To Be Screened In Saudi Arabia

The information minister announced that Parwaaz Hai Junoon will be screened in Saudi Arabia on October 11
Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 5th October, 2018) Recently released Pakistani movie Parwaaz Hai Junoon will be the first movie to be screened in Saudi Arabia.
This was announced by Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry on his Twitter account on Friday.
Taking to Twitter, the information minister announced that Parwaaz Hai Junoon will be screened in Saudi Arabia on October 11, becoming the first Pakistani commercial movie to be screened in the kingdom.
The minister added that more of Pakistani movies will be screened around the world in coming months.
“Pakistani movie “Perwaz Hai Janoon” ll be first Pak commercial movie to be screened in #SaudiArabia on 11th October, more films and more screenings around the word in coming months Inshallah #MOIB” he wrote.
The announcement came days after Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed an agreement to air each other’s content.
According to the memorandum finalised between Fawad Chaudhry and his Saudi counterpart Dr Awad bin Saleh, Pakistani movies and dramas will be screened in Saudi Arabia and vice versa.
The aim of the initiative is to broaden the horizons of the Pakistan film industry and allow actors to gain more popularity.
Parwaaz Hai Junoon, released on Eid-ul-Azha, is a tribute to Pakistan Airforce. The movie features Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Aamir, Ahad Raza Mir, Shaz Khan, Kubra Khan, Syed Shafaat Ali, Adnan Jaffer, Sikander Vincent, Rachel Viccaji, Mustafa Changezi and Sabeena Syed.
The movie is a Hum tv production and directed by Haseeb Hassan while the script has been written by Farhat Ishtiaq.
