We all know that Varun is dating his childhood sweetheart Natasha Dalal while Alia is in a relationship with her 'Brahmastra' co-star Ranbir Kapoor. Varun and Alia are currently on a promotional spree for their upcoming film 'Kalank'.

In a recent interview, they were quizzed if they ever had a crush on each other and this is what they have to say about their relationship.When Varun and Alia were asked if they've ever had a crush on each other.

Varun looked at Alia and said he would want her to go first.

To this, Alia couldn't stop smiling and reportedly stated that there's no need to talk about who all we had a crush on in life and she revealed that she has a huge list but before she could complete, Varun interrupted and explained that he thinks it's a friendship.

He further added saying that When you are very fond of someone, I think there's a lot of care and there's a lot of respect. Alia was totally surprised after hearing this Varun further stated that it's a friendship more than a romantic bond.

Aditya Roy Kapur concluded saying that it's 'Ishq-complicated' and both the stars agreed.Directed by Abhishek Varman, the film will hit the big screens on 17th April.
