"Kiyun Nikala" a play by legendary Anwar Maqsood will be presented at Pakistan National Council of the Arts (PNCA) here from November 20 after successful shows at other cities of the country.
Tale of a Bengali cook Kiyun Nikala has been written by Anwar Maqsood and director by Dawar Mehmood while it is produced by KopyKats Productions which has a proud heritage of producing original and quality urdu theatre plays since 2007.
Anwar Maqsood, who has an over 45-year career in writing for tv has penned for KopyKats Productions with smash-hit 'Pawney' first and then 'Kiyun Nikala' and got huge crowds of audience in all live performance, said the organizers.
Kiyun Nikala started its nationwide tour from Karachi and Lahore and now it is coming to provide quality entertainment for fun lovers of twin cities of Rawalpindi and Islamabad.
The country's leading humorist Anwar Maqsood's Kiyun Nikala resembles the oft quoted electioneering slogan which is making it more attractive for the audience while the actual story of the play is related to a cook providing his services to a PML-N leader for the last 30 years.
The story of the play revolves around a Chaudhry (Sajid Hasan) who is currently in a no-Party zone, and every party wants to have him on board as he is a sure shot winner but he stands by his mentor Nawaz Sharif who is in jail.
His Bengali Cook (Mohsin Ejaz) advises him to become part of a winning cause but he refuses as he still believes that his leader was taken out of the Prime Minister house unceremoniously which is the reason that name of the play revolves around the Kyon Nikala syndrome.
Anwar Maqsood's script is the main reason for making the story powerful with quality content and compelling the audience to get interest in the story till the end.
The play shows will continue till December 2.
