Meera Jee Lauds Mahira's Work For Afghan Refugees

Meera applauds Mahira Khan and Aamina Sheikh for their initiatives working with Afghan refugee children and girls' education

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 9th September, 2018) Lollywood superstar Meera jee has, for the first time, openly praised Mahira Khan.

However, it was not for her acting but for working with the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).

Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Meera jee gave her two cents about the actress. She said that one of the women she admires, Angelina Jolie, said that when one has fame, one also has a responsibility to give back to society otherwise that fame is considered vulgar.

Meera said that she applauds Mahira Khan and Aamina Sheikh for their initiatives working with Afghan refugee children and children's education especially for girls.

“With fame comes responsibility,” Meera jee concluded.

Star actress Mahira Khan has recently started working with UNHCR. She recently visited the Afghan refugee camps across country.

Mahira also shared some beautiful pictures and video from her visit to Afghan refugee camps in Karachi.
