Islamabad (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 21st April, 2019) Mehwish Hayat, who has starred in several Pakistani blockbusters including Punjab Nahi Jaungi, was awarded the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz on Pakistan Day, but her haters called out the actor as non-deserving of the civilian honour both leading up to and after the ceremony.

Mehwish Hayat was called out by her haters as they deemed the actress as non-deserving of the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz.

After she responded to this hate in her social media post, several celebrities came out in her support, whose Tamgha-e-Imtiaz award had stirred a controversy online.

Recently, Pakistani designer Munib Nawaz designed a special T-shirt for Mehwish Hayat with Tamgha-e-Imtiaz imprinted on it.
