More Pakistani actors slam Swara Bhaskar for calling Pakistan a failing state

After Pakistani actress Urwa Hocane slammed Swara Bhaskar for her statements, more celebrities have come out to teach Swara a lesson.

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News – 3rd June, 2018) Bollywood actress Swara Bhaskar, featuring in Veere di Wedding, recently spoke against Pakistan, calling it a failing state.

Speaking about the ban on Veere de Wedding in Pakistan in a recent interview, the actor said, “For some reason I have to keep answering for that. I don’t know why people think I’m a spokesperson for the Pakistani government. What do you expect from a state that’s run by Sharia Laws?”

“They’re a nonsecular state. I’m not surprised at all. Why should we hold up Pakistan, which is a failing state — I don’t understand why we keep taking pleasure and feeling a sense of self-worth from all the silly things that happen in Pakistan. Apologies to all my Pakistani friends right now. Rest assured, Pakistanis have way worse vocabulary than we do. I know,” Bhaskar added.

This called for a backlash from not only Pakistani side but Indian side as well as the actress is being condemned for her recent statements.

After Pakistani actress Urwa Hocane slammed Swara Bhaskar for her statements, more celebrities have come out to teach Swara a lesson.

Actress Mehwish Hayat said, “The comments made by Swara Bhaskar and Kangana Ranaut earlier just go to prove the point that I have been making. You cannot ignore 70 years of history and when the chips are down their nationalism will always come up trumps. The fault lies with us who see their industry as the height of achievement and remain so much in awe.

We don’t need their validation, we know what we’re capable of. We should be proud that we’ve come so far in such a short period of time with little or no resources. Friendship yes, but not at the cost of our self respect.”

Armeena Khan also took to Twitter and said, “Pakistanis have a way worse vocabulary than we do. #saywhatnow? Come on Pakistanis let’s correct your “a way worse” vocabulary. There’s a way to promote a film and then there’s a back-handed way to do it. I know you are relatively new but you’ve been ill advised by your PR (if you have any) you can’t antagonize an entire nation. Some people were actually looking forward to your film.”

Actor Gohar Rasheed hit hard at Swara with his Twitter spree.
