PakistaniArt and Awartsy Make a Comeback with Exciting Announcements

20-year-old Pakistani illustrator Awais Shaukat has announced the comeback of his art magazine. He also revealed his first film project with his elder brother, Rafhan Shaukat, to the audience.

Lahore (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Jul, 2024) Awais Shaukat, the founder of Pakistani first art magazine, PakistaniArt, and the creative force behind Awartsy, has once again captivated audiences with exciting announcements. Following the pre-production announcement of his debut hand-drawn animated film, Shaukat has more exciting news.

Just days earlier, on June 7, Awartsy Animations revealed their own thrilling news. They shared a sneak peek of their upcoming hand-drawn animated film, “Under the Blaze,” by posting a photo of the story’s hard copy on X.

Another co-founder of Awartsy and the story reviser, Rafhan Shaukat, provided further insights. In the re-tweet, he hinted that "Under the Blaze" will tackle the pressing issue of child labor in Pakistan. This short film aims to raise awareness about this critical, yet often overlooked, problem by creating stories that resonate deeply with audiences. Awais Shaukat, illustrator and the original story writer, stated that the film will continue his tradition of hand-drawn animation, seamlessly blending classic techniques with modern digital elements.

On July 12, PakistaniArt made a grand return to social media with a tweet on X (formerly known as Twitter). The tweet enthusiastically announced their comeback and invited artists to submit their artworks for a chance to be featured in the magazine and its online community.

PakistaniArt began as a digital art community on Instagram in October 2020, showcasing the work of numerous Pakistani digital artists. However, on June 11, 2023, Awais Shaukat announced plans to transform the platform into a full-fledged magazine supporting all types of Pakistani artists and promoting their work globally. Due to personal issues, the project was temporarily halted. Now, with a fresh start, PakistaniArt has wiped their previous posts to mark a new beginning.

With these exciting developments, Awais Shaukat continues to push the boundaries of Pakistani art and animation, offering platforms for artists to shine and creating impactful stories that speak to the heart of societal issues.
