Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Salman Ahmed To Establish Trust For Artist Welfare

Known showbiz personalities will be included in the network. The project will run on self-help basis

LAHORE- (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News- 9^th April 2019) Renowned Singer Rahat Fateh Ali and famous producer Salman Ahmed have decided to establish a trust for the welfare of needy, deserving and elder artist.

A local tv reported that the different known singers, producers, actors and other personalities from the showbiz and entertainment industry will also be part of the network.

“It will be a self-help basis trust and we will not seek donations from anyone to help the deserving artists,” Salman was quoted as saying by the TV.

He said the Trust will provide financial help to the deserving artist without any publicity and by approaching them in their house. The work will also be found for the artists who did not have any job, he said.

This is important to point out here that Punjab government had also announced a project for the social welfare of the artists. But its announcement still confined to the papers and as such no practical steps have been taken for their betterment so far.
