Renowned Actor Ali Ejaz Passes Away

Renowned TV, film and stage actor Ali Ejaz died on Tuesday in Lahore due to cardiac arrest at the age of 77.

ISLAMABAD, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 18th Dec, 2018 ) :Renowned tv, film and stage actor Ali Ejaz died on Tuesday in Lahore due to cardiac arrest at the age of 77.

People belonging to different walks of life including political and showbiz personalities expressed deep sorrow and grief over the sad demise of the renowned actor.

Talking to APP, renowned actor, Tauqeer Nasir said that Ali Ejaz was a big name in showbiz industry popular for his versatile acting in both films and dramas with his unique style.

"We do not value such actors in their life and recognize their services after their death. It is not only state's responsibility to look after such actors in their hard times but also civil society should play their role to support them. Besides being a good actor, he was a good human being.

We still have some actors living a miserable life and we should look after them in their life," he commented.

Ali Ejaz started his career in 1967 and was well known for his role in a popular television comedy drama series Khawaja and Son.

Ali Ejazwas born on 1941, he was known for his film roles in FBI Operation Pakistan (1971), Sona Chandi (1983), and Chor Machaye Shor (1996). He was honored with the prestigious Presidential Pride of Performance on August 14, 1993.

In 2015, he launched a social welfare project near Sialkot, under his non-government organization (NGO), Ali Ejaz Foundation. This project, The Homes for the Welfare of the Old People, plans to build 132 homes within 3 years with donations from the public, industrialists and philanthropists.
