Resham Reveals Her Real Name As ‘Saima’

She disclosed that the decision to change her name was driven by the existence of another prominent actress in the industry with the same name.

This revelation came during a segment on a local tv show, where Resham also discussed her career, personal life, and social work.

She shared that she originally hails from Faisalabad, Punjab, but moved to Lahore with her family before starting her career in entertainment.

She credited her elder sister for suggesting the name change to Resham after considerable thought. As a result, her first drama was credited to the name Resham, which has since become a notable part of her legacy.

Resham recounted that she began with minor roles in government TV dramas, which laid the groundwork for her later leading roles.
