According to Indian media, Khan was kept in barrack no. 1 of the jail, he was allotted prisoner number 106 and was provided with the ordinary meal like all other prisoners.

Jodhpur (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 6th Apr, 2018 ) Bollywood actor Salman Khan was sentenced for five years in jail by Jodhpur Court for poaching blackbucks in 1998. Besides, a fine of Indian Rupees 10,000 was also imposed on the actor.

Khan was shifted to Jodhpur Central Jail following the verdict. The arrangements for Khan’s security were made in the jail prior to his arrival. According to Indian media, Khan was kept in barrack no.

1 of the jail, he was allotted prisoner number 106 and was provided with the ordinary meal like all other prisoners. However, the actor refused to eat the meal. Moreover, there are many dangerous prisoners present in Jodhpur jail, including the famous gangster Lawrence Bishnoi who gave death threats to the Bollywood superstar.

Guru Ram Rahim Singh involved in the famous rape case of India is also kept here. The three witnesses of his case have been killed while three others are missing.

Shambu Lal is also imprisoned in Jodhpur jail who confessed to killing a Muslim laborer with an axe in a video.

The Jodhpur court has reserved the judgment on Khan’s plea which will be pronounced on Saturday. The Bollywood celebrity would have to spend another night in Jodhpur Central Jail. Meanwhile, Khan’s lawyer Mahesh Bora has said that he is receiving threats for fighting the case.

He added that the testimony of eye witness was not reliable in the case and Khan has been given a strict punishment. He further said that has been receiving threatening calls from Ravi Pujari’s gang from Dubai and Australia.

Salman Khan was booked in the case under Section 51 of the Wildlife (Protection) Act. The verdict on the 19-year-old case was reserved on March 18 and announced yesterday. Salman Khan had poached two blackbucks during the shooting of his famous film ‘Ham sath sath hain’ in 1998.
