Stage, TV Actor Sultan Bhutta Dies

Renowned artiste of stage and drama Muhammad Sultan Bhutta died of lungs related complications in the wee hours of Tuesday here.
MULTAN, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 19th Jun, 2018 ) :Renowned artiste of stage and drama Muhammad Sultan Bhutta died of lungs related complications in the wee hours of Tuesday here. He was around 55.
Actor's younger brother, Sikandar Bhutta, told APP that Sultan's condition deteriorated on Monday evening and he was rushed to Accident & Emergency (A&E) ward of Nishtar Hospital.
After initial treatment at the Emergency, doctors referred him to Ward No 23 (Chest Ward) where his condition worsened and he died in small hours on Tuesday.
Sikandar said that Sultan Bhutta was undergoing treatment for lungs for the last one year and doctors had recommended him to quit smoking. He acted on the doctor's advice and quit smoking one year back.
Sikandar said that his brother continued with acting till his death.
"He was a restless man," he said adding that he had been associated with the showbiz world for the last 35 to 40 years.
The deceased will be laid to rest in Lakar Mandi graveyard after Mughrib prayers, his brother said.
Mazhar Ahsan, an actor and a close friend of Sultan Bhutta said that the deceased was a superb comedian and his drama "Guru Tea Shop" was being shown by a private tv channel these days.
"Dukh Sukh Sanjhay" was another Seraiki play Sultan performed in for ptv Multan centre, Mazhar said.
Deceased actor's father, Hayat Muhammad Naseem Malik, was a director, producer, writer and actor, who produced a Seraiki film "Hatho Jutt", in which he also performed.
He played various roles in stage dramas, he added.
Sultan Bhutta is survived by two sons and three daughtersand a wife.
