TDAP, PFDC Organise Fashion Show

LAHORE, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Apr, 2019 ) :Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) in collaboration with Pakistan Fashion Design Council (PFDC) organised a three-day fashion show "PFDC Sunsilk Fashion Week 2019" held at a local hotel here Wednesday.

According to TDAP spokesman the fashion show was part of TEXPO 2019, the biggest exhibition of Pakistan's textile sector at government level. He added that PFDC since its inception had been promoting fashion industry in Pakistan and series of shows featured a spectrum of top designers from Pakistan.

At the fashion show, he mentioned, the foreign buyers/importer of textile and all its allied products, who visited/participated in the TEXPO 2019, also inspected the textile designs by established and emerging designers of Pakistan and appreciated the country's rising talents in the fashion industry.

TDAP spokesman explained that TEXPO was a flagship sector-specific biannual trade event of the authority started in 2016. In the 2nd edition of TEXPO, he said, 363 foreign buyers/importers from 70 countries visited stalls set up by 231 exhibitors from across Pakistan, to get first-hand information of the whole range of textile products being offered by Pakistan.

Prominent buyers who attended the TEXPO, 2019 included Uniqlo Co Limited (Japan), Target Inc (USA), Primark (UK), Orient International Holding (China), Tendam (Spain), Versaudet (France), Ituri (Spain), Fashionlinq BV (the Netherlands) etc., he concluded.
