2nd Malik Saad Shaheed Invitational All-Pakistan Women Cricket from Nov 1

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 07th Oct, 2016 ) : The second edition of the Mrs. Malik Saad Shaheed Invitational All Pakistan Women Cricket Tournament will be organized in Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium from November 1 here.

This was stated by Chairman Organizing Committee Tariq Mehmood while talking to APP here on Friday soon after his meeting with the members of the organizing committee held here at Directorate of sports KP premises.

Organizing Secretary and PCB Coordinator for Peshawar Region Ms Raham Bibi, members of the organizing committee including Ms. Najma Qazi, Director Sports Shaheed Benazir Bhutto Women University Ms.

Maria Samin, PCB Level-III coach Hajra Sarwar were also present. He said during the meeting he said arrangement regarding the smooth sailing of the tournament were discussed and reviewed. He team teams from Karachi, Mardan and two teams of Peshawar would take part in the six-day event.

The players, he said would also be provided complete uniform and track-suite. He said all out efforts would be made for the smooth sailing of the event.

Ms. Raham Bibi, Najma Qazi, Maria Samin and Hajra Sarwar lauded Secretary Malik Saad Shaheed Sports Trust Amjad Aziz Malik for his decision of holding women cricket event for the second consecutive years.

It would good for the promotion of female cricket in the province. Hajra Sarwar on this occasion said that it is for the first time that a cricket team is coming to Peshawar from Karachi. Hajra Sawar is hailing from District Swabi and she is the only female coach of the Pakistan Cricket board coaching penal, who done her Level-III from Australia, termed it very vital for bringing new faces to the game from various district.

He said the cricket is gone down and need quick attention. Raham Bibi also lauded the decision of holding All-Pakistan Cricketing event. It would certainly benefit our players, she added. She said recently PCB established one Under-17 cricketing academy in Frontier College for Women with the aim to promote cricket at grassroots level.
