The Socceroos will take on the Norwegians in the Ullevaal Stadion on March 23 in the third meeting between the two nations.
FFA said it was also close to finalising a second friendly in Europe in the March international window.
Australia are expected to announce their new national head coach next month following the resignation of Ange Postecoglou after the Socceroos beat Honduras in an intercontinental play-off to qualify for Russia 2018.
