Bannu Stun Lakki Marwat To Win Bannu Region Inter-District U-23 Male Games Trophy

Bannu stunned Lakki Marwat by securing the overall trophy of the ongoing Bannu Region Inter-District Under-23 Male Games which concluded here at Qazi Mohib Sports Complex on Saturday.
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2018 ) :Bannu stunned Lakki Marwat by securing the overall trophy of the ongoing Bannu Region Inter-District Under-23 Male Games which concluded here at Qazi Mohib sports Complex on Saturday.
There was a tough competition between both Bannu and Lakki Marwat for the overall trophy with Bannu recorded 144 points after winning three gold medal and two silver medals in the total 15 different for the male while Lakki Marwat got runners-up trophy with 111 points after winning two gold medal and 13 silver medals.
The 15 different disciplines comprising judo, athletics, basketball, badminton, cricket, handball, volleyball, table tennis, karate, wrestling, gymnastic, squash, hockey, football, kabaddi, squash, tennis and tug-of-war.
Bannu secured victories in tug-of-war, gymnastics, badminton, table tennis, tennis, football, squash, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, athletics and hockey while claimed silver medals in karate and judo.
Lakki Marwat won gold medal in karate and judo and silver medal all the other 13 games. On the last day of the two-day event, Bannu defeated Lakki Marwat in a thrilling hockey match by 4-3. Both Bannu and Lakki Marwat gave each other a tough fight.
Bannu has the services of international players Aamir, Naveed who raided time and again by making some good moves. Lakki Marwat defence played well and thwarted some good moves. It was in the 5th minute when Lakki Marwat got the lead through Afsar Ali on the field attempt but Sajid, and Luqman scored one goal each to make the tally 3-0.
On the other hands, Bannu, who conceded three Bannu players managed their position and staged a strong comeback when Amir Shah, who also represented Pakistan in China, Oman and Malaysia, scored three quick goals to make the tally 3-3.
He also made a hat-trick. Naveed Ullah scored the fourth goal on the field attempt. Thus Bannu won the match by 4-3. In the Karate -45kg weight class Muhammad Owais of Lakki Marwat defeated Bannu, Shahid Zaman of Bannu won gold in -50kg, HIran of Lakki Marwat won silver medal, in 55kg weight class Nasir Kahn of Lakki Marwat won gold medal, followed by Allah Noor of Bannu with silver medal, in -60kg Muhammad Adnan of Lakki Marwat won gold medal, Rahim Ullah of Bannu won silver medal, in 65kg weight Farman Ullah of Lakki Marwat won gold medal, followed by Aamir Anwar of Bannu with silver medal.
In the athletic discuss throw Bannu's Nouman won gold medal, followed by Qadeer of Lakki Marwat and Sadique got bronze medal, in long jump Waseem of Bannu won gold medal, followed by Jehanzeb of Lakki Marwat, and Shoaib of Lakki Marwat got bronze medal, in 400m Nouman of Bannu won gold medal, Shoaib of Lakki Marwat got silver medal, and Nadir of Bannu got bronze medal, in 200m Jehanzeb of Bannu got gold medal, Nouman of Bannu won silver medal and Shoaib of Lakki Marwat claimed bronze medals.
In the 100m Jehanzeb of Bannu won gold medal, Zahid Ullah of Lakki Marwat got silver medal and Shoaib of Lakki Marwat won bronze medals. At the end of the events, Director Operation Syed Saqlain Shah, former International hockey player Anwar Rashid, and Shafqat Ullah, Director Sports Niamat Ullah Marwat, AD Development Munir Abbas, and Manager Account Amjad Khan gave away trophies, medals and cash prizes of Rs.
20,000 to the winners and Rs. 15000 to the runners-up. Manager Account
