Black Belt Confers On Hala Sahar In Karate

Hailing from Abbottabad Hala Sahar created history of becoming the first female of winning black belt in Karate.
PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 10th Mar, 2018 ) :Hailing from Abbottabad Hala Sahar created history of becoming the first female of winning black belt in Karate. In this connection a simple but impressive ceremony was held in the honor of Hala Sahar under the aegis of Abbaseen Karate Bodoo Kan Club at Jalal Baba Auditorium Abaseen Karate with her coach Sheraz Awan, parents of Hala Sahar, members of the Abbottabad District Karate Association, friends and good number of male and female spectators were also present.
The ceremony was started with the recitation from the Holy Quran by Iqra, followed by Hala Sahar speech. Hala Sahar dedicated her achievement of winning black belt in Karate to her mother and father.
"My parents have supported me and prayers of my mother always proved to be a beacon of light in the darkness," she said. Hala Sahar said that she would continue her hard work with her coach Sheraz Awan and would win more laurel for the province and country.
She said being karate player, she wants to represent the national team and for this she is giving due time to learn more skills. It is not a day efforts as the game needed much attention and practice on daily basis, he remarked.
When contacted her coach Sheraz Awan who also visited with Pakistan Taekwondo team, another form of Korean Martial Art, expressed the hope that Hala Sahar achieved her black belt in her early age and if she continues working hard she would achieve more credentials in future.
He said there is no dearth of talent in Hazara Region of Martial Arts but the players are lacking proper guidance, coaching and playing gear facilities. He also lauded DG sports Junaid Khan who for the first time announced mates for all Martial Arts Games, comprising Taekwondo, Judo, Karate, Wushu.
