Boys, Girls Under-16 Youth Games On Sat & Sun In Abbottabad

ABBOTTABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 22nd Sep, 2021 ) :Under the auspices of the Directorate of Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and the Regional Sports Office, Abbottabad, the two-day Boys and Girls Under-16 Youth Games for the Hazara region will be kicked off on September 25 and 26 at various venues in Abbottabad.

The young track and field players of ten sports would demonstrate their skills in the games. A special meeting was also held under the chairmanship of Director Sports Operations KP Syed Saqlain Shah at City Sports Complex Abbottabad and attended by former DG Sports Tariq Mahmood, District Sports Officer Abbottabad Wasim Fazal, President Abbottabad Kabaddi Association Tahir Munir Awan.

It was decided in the meeting that in the light of the government's decision to find new talent at the school level, a series of youth games are being held across the province. Abbottabad Games are also a part of the series.

On the first day of girl's events, the players would contest in Badminton, Table Tennis, Squash, Tug-of-war, Athletics, Volleyball, Basketball, and Netball while in the boy's events those would be held on September 26th included Kabaddi, Tennis, Badminton, Table Tennis, Squash, Tug of War, Volleyball, Basketball competition.

These events will be held at various places including City Sports Complex, Bar Club Ground and Police Ground. At the end of these games, medals and certificates will be distributed among the successful athletes.

President of Volleyball Association Syed Mushtaq Shah, Tennis Association Nasir Mahmood, Shahid Gul Bubble, Secretary of Tug of War Association, Muhammad Zahid Tanoli Table Tennis, Aftab Ahmed, Secretary of Athletics Association and other officials of sports organizations also attended the meeting.
