New Dehli, (UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th july, 2016) : International Cricket Council will submit application for women cricket to be included in Commonwealth Games 2022 going to be held in Durban.
Cricket is facing very hard time other than its traditional circles and has to use its influence for its survival. And India’s refusal for not participating in any Multi-sport Events is causing decline in the popularity of cricket.
ICC decided after the presentation of Commonwealth Federation’s presentation on Saturday in Edinburgh, Scotland that they will submit application for including women cricket matches in Commonwealth Games to be held in Durban.
ICC chairman Shashank Manohar stated that this would increase the popularity of the sport and would also give effective publicity and experience to women cricket team. Whereas, Men cricket was included in Commonwealth Games for the first and last time, in 1998, held in Malaysia, and South Africa won that time.
