Director General Sports Punjab Reviews Progress Of Under-construction Sport Projects

Director General Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar here Thursday said that sports was among the top priorities of the Punjab government and many sports projects had been launched in several cities under the vision of Prime Minister Imran Khan.
He stated this while presided over an important meeting on the under-construction sports projects at National Hockey Stadium.
The meeting was attended by Director Admin Javed Chohan, all divisional and sports officers including Rana Nadeem Anjum from Multan, Malik Waqar of Rawalpindi, Manzar Fareed Shah, Akbar Muard from Sahiwal, officers of C&W department and contractors.
The officials concerned gave a detailed briefing about the status of construction work at playgrounds, stadiums and sports gymnasium halls in the province. DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar directed the DSOs to complete the remaining construction work as early as possible.
"We are committed to completing all sports projects within the given time period," he said.
Earlier, the Director General Sports board Punjab (SBP) stressed the SBP staffers to perform their duties honestly and it was the only way through which they could earn respect for the department. He said this while addressing the farewell ceremony, organised in honour of four retiring SBP employees.
He also presented gifts to retired employees -- assistant Hameed Alam, driver Abdur Razzaq, plumber M Ashiq and cook M Ishaq, and lauded their services during their employment at Sports Board Punjab.
Addressing the farewell ceremony, DG Sports Punjab Nadeem Sarwar assured Sports Board Punjab staff of his full support. "Every possible step will be taken for welfare of the SBP employees," he added.
