FATA Football Super League-2017 Begins

PESHAWAR, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 13th Oct, 2017 ) :Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi of Dara Adam Khail got a flying start after recording open day 3-1 victory against Khyber Green Azmaray when the historical edition of the FATA Football Super League-2017 got under way here at Qayyum Sports Complex on Friday.

2 Mohib Ullah Khan, Director Sports FATA Muhammad Nawaz Khan, former international footballers Basit Kamal, Gohar Zaman, Aajiz Shakoor, Qazi Asif, KP Police Sports Officer Faisal Khan, Haji Hidayat Ullah, Zahir Shah, office-bearers of various association affiliated with FATA Olympic Association, KP Olympic Association, Director Development Niamat Ullah Khan and hundreds and thousands of football spectators were also present.
The opening match was started on fast tempo and Khyber Green Azmaray took the lead in the 5th minute when right winger Ashfaq slammed in a beautiful goal to make the tally 1-0. After scoring Khyber Green Azmaray put in more pressure to double the lead but they were failed due to tight marking by the Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi Dara Adam Khail team players.
It was in the 21st minute when Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi succeeded in leveling the tally 1-1 when center striker Javed Khan slammed in a beautiful goal on the field attempt. At half-time both the teams were tied 1-1.
It was the second session in which Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi Dara Adam Khail got full control over the position of the ball and made some good rallies of attacks as a result Javed dispatched in another goal on the field attempt to make the tally 2-1.
When taking lead, Ghazi Ajab Khan Afridi�s right winger Haroon scored another goal on the field attempt to make the tally 3-1 and thus won the match. Qazi Asif acted as match commissioner while Muhammad Amin, Allowddin Khan and Syed Imtiaz Ali Shah supervised the match while Salim acted as reserve referee.
Earlier, the colourful opening ceremony was started with the recitation from Holy Quran by Qari Umar, followed by National Anthem and theme song of FATA Football Super League-2017. In his speech former Governor Engr.
Shoukat Ullah appreciated Pakistan Army for restoration of peace in FATA and the rest of the country. He said the Jawans of Pakistan Army, police and security forces rendered matchless sacrifices so to ensure peace to Pakistan.
He said FATA Olympic Association is working with own resources only to provide healthy sports activities to our youth. In his addressing Galib Khan Wazir lauded the organizing committee for holding the League in which players from Malaysia, Indonesia, Afghanistan and Thailand will be part of various teams.
He said through League-2017 we will be able to give a message of peace and love to the rest of the world. He also thanked the sponsor Bridgestone Tyres Company owner Japan Takuna Kakuuchi, NJK, KYB, Exedy, Momin Oil, Afridi Medical Complex for extending a help hands financially.
Khyber Eagles, Bajaur stars, Pakir Epi South Waziristan Agency, Waziristan Panther, Khyber Green Zalmi, Shanwari FC, Malik Saad Falcons, Al Hajj Group, FAW United, Young Jamrud United, Dara Adam Khail Eagle and Gazi Ajab Khan of Dara Adam Khail and Khurram Shaheen are taking part in the League-2017.
