FIFA Launching Partnership With African Union On Security, Anti-Corruption - Infantino

ADDIS ABABA (UrduPoint News / Sputnik - 10th February, 2019) The International Federation of Association Football (FIFA) is starting a partnership with the African Union on promoting safety at stadiums as well as education and fighting corruption, FIFA President Gianni Infantino said on Sunday.
"We are kicking off a real concrete partnership with the African Union in three areas.
The first one is the fight against corruption and for good governance ... The second area is about safety and security in stadiums ... The third area of cooperation is education because this is the main social focus of FIFA," Infantino said at an opening ceremony of the African Union 32nd summit.
The African Union, headquartered in the Ethiopian capital, is a continental union comprised of 55 member states, which aims to achieve regional integration and increase solidarity among all African countries.
