FIH To Open Channel In Jan

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 11th Nov, 2018 ) :International Hockey Federation (FIH) will be opening a hockey channel in January next year with an aim to promote and encourage the game across the globe.
Talking to APP, Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) secretary Shahbaz Ahmed Sr said every hockey playing nation would be able to send hockey videos to FIH which they would telecast on their channel.
"This is a very good initiative taken by FIH for the uplift of the game," he said.
Speaking about the Six-Nation Hockey Tournament that was due to be held in Lahore this month, he said the event has been postponed till January next year.
He said Afghanistan and Bangladesh had some financial issues therefore the event has been postponed till January next year.
The teams to participate in the tournament include Oman, Qatar, Bangladesh, Sri Lanka, Kazakhstan and Afghanistan, he said and added the event will be held in Lahore only.
