Govt. College For Women Gujar Khan Wins Tug Of War Competition

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 14th Feb, 2017 ) : Government College for Women Gujar Khan clinched the Pindi board Inter-College Girls Tug of war competition on Tuesday held at the Attock Oil Refinery Ground, Morgah, Rawalpindi.
Government Postgraduate College for Women Satellite Town, 6th road stood second while Punjab Commerce College, Holy Family grabbed third position. As many as six colleges participated in the event.
The other three colleges included Government College for Women Kallar Syedan, Punjab Commerce College, Morgah and Government College for Women Dhoke Elahi Bakhsh. The winners were awarded by a cash prize of Rs 5,000 while the runner-up college was got Rs 3,000.
The other four colleges were given Rs 2,000 each. Board of Intermediate & Secondary education, Rawalpindi Director Sports Sobia Sultana, Government Postgraduate College for Women Satellite Town Professor Safora, Nigat Raja coordinator Punjab Group of Colleges, Rawalpindi were present on the occasion while Col (R) Ajaz Malik official Pakistan Hockey Federation (PHF) was the chief guest.
Sobia Sultana on the occasion said "we want to promote women in healthy sports activities. "We will indulge women in all types of sports activities," she said. APP/vad/kmd
