Huzaifa Loses Another ITF Junior Tennis C'ship Final To Ivan

Pakistan's top junior player Huzaifa Abdul Rehman suffered second consecutive final defeat within two weeks at the hands of top seed Bulgarian Ivan Penev in the ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships here at Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue on Saturday.

ISLAMABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 17th Nov, 2018 ) :Pakistan's top junior player Huzaifa Abdul Rehman suffered second consecutive final defeat within two weeks at the hands of top seed Bulgarian Ivan Penev in the ITF Pakistan Junior Tennis Championships here at Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) Tennis Complex, Garden Avenue on Saturday.

Ivan Penev of Bulgaria defeated Huzaifa in a two-set match 6-3, 7-6(7).

Penev won the first set 6-3 after some inconsistent play by Huzaifa. However, in the second set, a see-saw battle ensued between the two players.

Ivan saved numerous set points, while Huzaifa saved two match points as the crowd witnessed some scintillating tennis. In the end, Penev proved his mettle by finishing off the match in style.

President PTF Salim Saifullah Khan, chief guest Chairman Higher education Commission, Tariq Boonariand the ambassadors of Bulgaria, Egypt and Azerbaijan witnessed the finalfixture.
