Inter-Collegiate Girls' Lawn Tennis Championship Opens

MULTAN, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 9th Apr, 2025) The Inter-Collegiate Girls' Lawn Tennis Championship opened at Bahauddin Zakariya University Multan on Wednesday, wherein three colleges are participating.

The institutions included Bahauddin Zakariya University, Central College Multan, and Qadirpur Raan College.

The championship is being held under a league system. The initial matches witnessed exciting contests. The first match was played between Central College and Qadirpur Raan College, where Central College showcased excellent play and secured victory.

The second match was between the host institution, BZU and FG College which Zakariya University won with an outstanding performance, securing a 20-point lead.

The final match will be played on Thursday where the winner of the championship will be decided.

The special guests of the event were Dr. Fatima Farooq, Department of Economics and Madam Abida Khan, who encouraged the players and emphasized the importance of such events in promoting sports.

Nazir Ahmed supervised the matches as umpire while the scoring team included Rana Ashraf, Hassan Fara, and Chaudhry Hassan, says a news release.
