Inter-Collegiate Women Football Championship Held

FAISALABAD, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 16th Dec, 2016 ) : Inter-Collegiate Women Football Championship 2016-17 was played here on Friday. Five teams from district Faisalabad participated in the event played under the aegis of sports Department of Government College University Faisalabad.
Government College for Women Sammundri lifted the title after beating Government Girls College D-Type Colony Faisalabad by 2-0 goals whereas Government College for Women Samanabad Faisalabad stood third.
The winner team was awarded with cash prize Rs 8,000, runner up Rs 5,000 and third position holder Rs 2500. Chairman Sports board GCUF / Incharge Physics Department Dr Nasir Amin was chief guest while Assistant Director Sports Muhammad Ashfaq Ahmed and other officials and students were also present.
