International Triangular Futsal Series Kicks Off

The International Triangular Futsal Series between Pakistan, Nepal and Afghanistan Thursday kicked off here at the Liaquat Gymnasium of Pakistan Sports Complex Islamabad.
The two-day event is taking place under the auspices of Pakistan Soccer Futsal Federation (PSFF).
Parliamentary Secretary for Inter Provincial Coordination Saima Nadeem was the chief guest at the opening ceremony.
Speaking on the occasion, she said the government was according top priority to promote sports in the country.
She said the IPC ministry was playing its role to raise standard of sports in the country.
She said futsal was a great sport adding that it encouraged teamwork, strategy and tactics. It not only keeps one physically and mentally fit but is also a great source of fun and entertainment, she added.
PSFF Chairman Malik Meharban said futsal wasgetting popularity in the country.
He thanked Nepalese and Afghan teams to come to Pakistan to feature in the series.
