LAHORE, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 20th Feb, 2018 ) :Iranian Kabaddi team will be the main attraction during the National Kabaddi Championship, being held here from Feb 28 at the National Training and Coaching Centre.
Country's top kabaddi teams, along with the visiting foreign team, would display their prowess and technique during the five-day national premier activity, said a spokesman for Pakistan Kabaddi Federation while talking to APP here on Tuesday.
Pakistan Kabaddi Federation is organising the event which aimed at further promoting the game in the country, he added. The participation of the Iranian team will help portray a soft image of the country besides cementing friendly and sports ties between the two countries, he asserted.
He said that the event would be a step forward to unearthing fresh kabaddi talent, which will be groomed under the watchful eyes of national coaches for formation of national senior and junior teams to represent the country at international level in due course of time.
The participating teams are: Pak Army, PAF, Wapda, Railways, Police, HEC, SNGPL, POF Wah, Punjab, Sindh, Balochistan, KP and Islamabad. "Exciting and high quality kabaddi will be witnessed during the competition and we expect big audience to witness the matches," he added.
