Paris, (APP - UrduPoint / Pakistan Point News - 4th Aug, 2024) Jamaica's Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce was a non-starter in the women's Olympic 100m semi-final in Paris on Saturday.
Fraser-Pryce, who is 37 and competing in her fifth Olympic Games, won 100m golds in 2008 and 2012 -- part of an Olympic haul that includes three golds, four silvers and a bronze.
The Jamaican, a five-time world 100m champion, had finished second fastest in Friday's heats in 10.92 seconds.
Her non-appearance in the semi-finals, with the final scheduled for 1920 GMT, was only evident by the late addition of "DNS" (Did Not Start) alongside her name on the official start sheet.
